Project Manager, Environment
Pierre is a graduate of INSA Lyon, France, and has a master’s degree in corporate social responsibility. After working as an eco-design consultant, in 2010 he joined the Quality and Sustainable Development Department at The Comité Champagne, the trade association that represents the interests of independent Champagne (France) producers (“vignerons”) and Champagne Houses. He oversees the environmental impact assessment of the entire life cycle of a champagne bottle: viticulture, vinification, packaging, distribution, waste, and by-products, as well as activities of suppliers. Pierre provides technical and regulatory monitoring, participates in national and international working groups dedicated to environmental impact assessments. Pierre also contributes to the technical assistance and advice that the Comité Champagne offers to its members, Champagne growers and Champagne houses.
