The 51 Percent
Annette Young is a senior journalist and TV news presenter for France 24 English. She is also the host and creator of ‘The 51 Percent,’ an award-winning show about women reshaping our world. During her time in the Middle East, she became the Jerusalem correspondent for France 24. After creating ‘The 51 Percent’ in 2013, she was later nominated by UN Women as one of 20 inspirational global voices on women in the media. In 2018, she won the gold medal in broadcast journalism in the Ricardo Ortega prize awarded by the U.N. Correspondents’ Association for her work on ‘The 51 Percent.’ Annette is also an experienced conference host, moderator and keynote speaker; working with organisations such as the OECD, UN Women, INSEAD, the Women's Forum and the Paris Peace Forum. She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of South Australia.
